Manchester United told £52million would get forward signing done – Face competition

Two days back, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United will do whatever they can to extend Edinson Cavani’s stay at Old Trafford.

The Uruguayan international is a proven quality star and he has impressed with the Red Devils, so, it makes sense to keep him for one more year at least.

Nevertheless, the South American center forward would still be a short term fix and Solskjaer needs to sign a striker, who would serve the club in the long run.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are interested in signing Serbian international and Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic, who has been in top form in the current campaign.

According to Sport Media Set, the Old Trafford outfit have entered the race to hire the services of the 21-year-old forward, who is also on the radar of Liverpool.

The famous Italian outlet have reported that the Viola are well aware that Vlahovic is a wanted man and the owner, Commisso, has told the suitors that the goalscorer would be allowed to leave for a fee of 60 million euros (£52million).

So far, in 30 Serie A starts this season, the former Partizan forward has scored 19 goals and provided 2 assists for Fiorentina, who would have been in the relegation zone without their star’s goals.

Earlier in the day, he netted a brace vs Bologna in a contest that ended 3-3.
For the senior national side, Vlahovic made his debut in October last year and thus far, he has netted 2 goals in 2 starts.

One of the main reasons why Man Utd have failed to win the title over the years is because they have lacked a striker who would net at least 20 goals in a PL campaign. Van Persie was the last man to achieve that feat in 2012-13 and we ended up winning the title. In your view, should Ole spend £52million to sign Dusan Vlahovic? (thefaithfulmufc)
